Job summary

CFS in Houston seeks a Payroll Supervisor to lead a 5–8 member team in a high-volume, multi-entity payroll environment across the United States and Canada. You will oversee weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly cycles for tipped, hourly, and salaried staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role partners with third-party providers, handles complex payroll issues, and supports a 2027 payroll system implementation leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and control.

Qualifications

• CPP designation required; willing to obtain within first year if candidate does not yet hold it.
• Experience supervising payroll teams in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional environment.
• Experience with unionized payroll, multiple employer numbers, and varied schedules.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with major payroll platforms (ADP GlobalView, Vantage).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a 5–8 person payroll team, guiding performance and growth.
• Oversee high-volume payroll processing for ~100 union groups and payroll entities in US/Canada.
• Manage weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly cycles for tipped, hourly, and salaried staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local regulations and reporting.
• Partner with third-party tax providers and agencies to resolve issues and reconciliations.
