Job summary

BlueSprig is seeking a Lead Payroll Specialist to support weekly payroll processing and serve as the escalation point for complex cases. You will audit imports, post payroll to WorkForceNow, and drive process improvements while overseeing payroll tax administration.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with multi-state payroll, and collaboration across departments. This remote position operates Monday–Friday, with potential overtime during payroll weeks.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate or Bachelor's degree or 3–4 years of related experience.
• Experience with multi-state payroll is preferred.
• Strong data analysis and accuracy in payroll processing required.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely payroll processing for hourly and salaried staff.
• Use ADP and Central Reach for time and attendance data.
• Process and review off-cycle payroll checks as needed.
• Review pre-payroll reports for errors and omissions.
• Support bi-weekly payroll processing and balance research.
• Respond to payroll inquiries promptly.
• Assist in developing and documenting process improvements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with payroll policies and laws.
• Collaborate with tax function to file payroll taxes and amendments.
• Maintain payroll internal controls and stay updated on state regulations.
