Job summary

Upstream Rehabilitation is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist, Taxes & Special Projects to lead payroll tax compliance across federal, state, and local levels for our US operations. This role requires deep knowledge of payroll tax rules and strong collaboration with HR and finance teams.

You’ll manage tax data, partner on system updates (ADP SmartCompliance), respond to regulator inquiries, and support special projects under the VP of HR Operations. Remote work is available to qualifying U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll tax experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ADP SmartCompliance, ADP Registration Services, iReports, PQA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee federal, state, and local payroll tax filings and compliance.
• Manage payroll tax data, rates, frequencies, and form inputs.
• Research tax laws and respond to inquiries from employees and regulators.
• Support special projects and system updates related to payroll tax.
