Job summary

RSM's Payroll Services practice in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to deliver accurate, timely, multi-state payroll for diverse clients. You will apply deep payroll knowledge and collaborate with client teams to solve problems.

You will work with Dayforce and Microsoft Excel, reconcile taxes, handle year-end processing, and prepare reports while maintaining confidentiality and strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full cycle payroll processing experience in a multi-state or international environment.
• Experience with Dayforce.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and Excel (including formulas).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and biweekly full-cycle payroll for clients across multiple states.
• Reconcile taxes per pay cycle and per quarterly and annual filings.
• Handle year-end processing.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to clients and internal leaders.
• Maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders.
• Identify data trends and root causes to offer client solutions.
• Stay updated on payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of multiple payroll software products.
• Ensure confidentiality of client information.
• Collaborate with multiple levels of client organizations.
• Participate in executive presentations and project forecasting.
