Job summary

GHJ is seeking a Senior Specialist, Payroll to own day-to-day payroll processing using Dayforce Payroll and to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience for a multi-state workforce. The role partners with PuzzleHR and People Operations to manage compensation and payroll tax administration.

The Senior Specialist will identify discrepancies, understand Dayforce configuration impacts on payroll and taxation, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues while

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive payroll experience, including Dayforce.
• Experience processing payroll for multi-state employees.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with payroll tax filings and year-end reporting.
• Experience with garnishments and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for ~300 employees and weekly payroll for ~10.
• Manage full payroll cycle including audits, calculations, reconciliation and post-payroll validation.
• Review and validate timekeeping, earnings, deductions and data prior to processing.
• Process pay changes, bonuses, commissions, retroactive pay and special payments.
• Maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies affecting payroll.
