Job summary

Lakefield Veterinary Group seeks an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations in a fast-paced, multi-state environment. The role requires accuracy, ownership, and proactive problem solving.

This hybrid position is based in Kent, WA (3 days in office). Remote work and relocation are not available. You will handle end-to-end payroll processing, ADP Workforce Now, and collaborate with the Payroll Manager to improve processes and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience with accuracy and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong communication and responsiveness in a team.
• Multi-state payroll experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end payroll processing including time review, adjustments, bonuses, and commissions.
• Ensure accuracy of payroll data and multi-state compliance.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries.
• Manage payroll-related inquiries with timely communication to field teams.
• Process garnishments, deductions, and required reporting.
• Collaborate with Payroll Manager on process improvements and system enhancements.
• Develop expertise in ADP Workforce Now and identify efficiency opportunities.
