Job summary

Harvard Maintenance, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Payroll Manager to assist the Payroll Manager in overseeing multi-state payroll operations, ensuring accurate and compliant processing across regions.

The role includes supervising payroll coordinators and maintaining efficient payroll workflows. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of payroll experience, hands-on expertise with large in-house payroll, and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a similar payroll capacity.
• Experience with a large in-house payroll operation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Must have experience managing a payroll team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payroll cycles.
• Oversee printing checks and paystubs for all regions.
• Assist Payroll staff with transactional processing questions.
• Implement and review payroll processing systems for accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare NACHA and Positive Pay files and maintain records.
• Manage garnishment processing accurately and timely.
• Assist with printing annual W-2s and handle employee inquiries.
