Job summary

Success Academy Charter Schools is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to lead multi-state payroll operations across bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly cycles using ADP Workforce Now and Workday Payroll. You will ensure accuracy, audit integrity, and compliance with tax regulations while partnering with HR, Finance, and IT on strategic initiatives.

This hybrid NYC role requires strong technical leadership, process improvement, and mentoring of junior staff.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10+ years in multi-state payroll processing in complex organizations.
• Advanced hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Deep Workday Payroll expertise including configuration and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
• CPP designation strongly preferred.
• Strategic ownership of ADP and Workday to streamline payroll workflows.
• Analytical and audit leadership with rigorous detail.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-state payroll operations across bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly cycles using ADP Workforce Now and Workday Payroll.
• Conduct advanced pre- and post-payroll audits and GL reconciliations for accuracy and controls.
• Architect and optimize system configurations, integrations, and workflows.
• Manage regulatory compliance, tax filings (941s, W-2s) and audits.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT on strategic payroll initiatives including M&A integrations.
• Mentor team members and establish SOPs for payroll processes.
