Collegiate Charter School of Lowell seeks a seasoned HR/Payroll Specialist with ADP experience to own end-to-end payroll for ~240 staff and manage MTRS reporting in a 12-month charter school environment.

The role requires hands-on expertise in ADP Workforce Now and QuickBooks, advanced Excel, and independent problem-solving to ensure accurate payroll, benefits withholdings, and year-end processes.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience with ownership of compliance and reconciliation.
• Experience with ADP payroll platforms and configuration is required.
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivots.
• Experience with MTRS reporting is strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for 240 staff via ADP.
• Lead ADP configuration, pay policies, deductions, and troubleshooting.
• Manage MTRS reporting and contributions end-to-end and reconcile with payroll.
• Administer retirement contributions and coordinate with MA systems.
• Reconcile payroll with budget and CCSL salary scale; investigate variances.
• Maintain payroll-related GL reconciliations in QuickBooks.
• Prepare quarterly/annual payroll tax filings and support audits.
• Serve as payroll contact for staff and respond to sensitive questions.
• Support annual budget development and year-end reporting.
• Ensure audit-ready payroll files and compliance with records retention.
• Suggest process improvements as volume grows.
