Actalent in Woodbury, NY seeks a Payroll Specialist to manage multi-state payroll ensuring accurate, on-time processing using ADP Workforce Now. You will support 500+ employees, maintain payroll records, and assist with audits in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of FLSA, payroll tax regulations, and wage compliance requirements.
• Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees and/or multiple payroll cycles preferred.
• Hands-on ADP Workforce Now experience required.

Responsibilities

• Process and audit employee timesheets and input into ADP Workforce Now.
• Administer full-cycle multi-state payroll including weekly processing, reporting, reconciliations and audits.
• Maintain payroll records including hires, terminations, changes, tax withholdings, and deductions.
• Process expense reports and reimbursements, including manual checks and ACH payments.
• Process PTO, benefit time, and time-off requests per policy.
• Assist with 401(k) plan administration, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Support internal and external audits and project-based reporting as needed.
• Perform other payroll, accounting, and administrative duties as required.
