Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on payroll processing experience, ideally multi‑state.
• Strong knowledge of end‑to‑end payroll processes, regulations, multi‑state compliance.
• Proficiency with ADP payroll systems (or similar HRIS/payroll software).
• Experience handling payroll tax calculations and multi‑state withholding.
• Familiarity with benefits administration and deductions integration.
• Meticulous attention to detail and confidentiality of payroll data.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle bi-weekly payroll; implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems for salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates (new hires, terminations, pay rate changes).
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and wage/hour regulations for multi-state workforce.
• Maintain ADP employee payroll records and manage deductions (health, retirement) in collaboration with HR.
• Prepare and file payroll tax documents (quarters, year-end W-2s) with Finance.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues clearly.
• Assist Director of Payroll with reports, audits, and refining procedures.
