TD Williamson seeks a Senior Payroll Coordinator to accurately process U.S. and Canadian payrolls, review time changes, handle garnishments, and perform payroll-related accounting and reconciliations. The role collaborates with HR, Finance, and Treasury to resolve issues and ensure compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of payroll experience, multi-state U.S. payroll knowledge, and strong Excel skills. Prior Canadian payroll experience and certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of payroll experience.
• Experience independently processing payroll for at least 150 employees.
• Multi-state U.S. payroll experience.
• Experience processing and maintaining wage garnishments.
• Knowledge of payroll accounting, journal entries, GL reconciliations, payroll accruals, and clearing accounts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet multiple deadlines.
• Clear, professional employee-service communication.

Responsibilities

• Process and review U.S. and Canadian payrolls accurately and on schedule.
• Validate time, earnings, deductions, taxes, and one-time payments.
• Process bonuses, commissions, and taxable benefits.
• Handle wage garnishments and related orders.
• Prepare Canadian Records of Employment and RRSP reporting.
• Reconcile payroll registers to funding, bank activity, and GL.
• Post payroll journal entries and reconcile related accounts.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Support 401(k), RRSP, PTO, and benefit deductions.
• Assist with month-end close, year-end processing, and tax forms corrections.
• Maintain audit-ready payroll documentation and procedures.
