The role emphasizes strong payroll knowledge, problem-solving, and cross-industry expertise, with a mostly remote setup within or near specified office regions. CPP certification is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of payroll experience, ideally in a consulting firm, payroll provider, or in-house payroll function.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance requirements, and multistate regulations.
• Experience with payroll tax forms and filings.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll consulting engagements across a range of clients, industries, and geographies.
• Assist in assessing and improving client payroll processes, controls, and procedures.
• Perform multistate payroll compliance reviews, including federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support payroll tax activities, including preparation and review of forms (e.g., 941, 941-X, W-2C).
