Qualifications

• 3+ years in payroll, ideally consulting or in-house
• Bachelor degree required
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and multistate regulations
• Experience with payroll tax forms and filings
• Familiarity with payroll systems (ADP/Workday/SAP/Oracle) or similar

Responsibilities

• Support payroll consulting engagements across various clients, industries, and geographies
• Assess and improve client payroll processes, controls, and procedures
• Perform multistate payroll compliance reviews (federal/state/local)
• Support payroll tax activities, including forms like 941/941-X/W-2C
• Assist with payroll setup and configuration (earnings, deductions, tax treatments)
• Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, risks and improvements
• Support reviews of employee classification and overtime calculations
• Research and apply payroll regulations including reciprocity and multistate considerations
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver timely, accurate work
• Communicate payroll concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to project deliverables and ensure alignment with expectations
