Job summary

Construction Specialties, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Payroll Administrator to responsibly prepare, document, and reconcile payroll for U.S. and Canadian operations.

This role partners with Accounting, Treasury, HR and outside service providers to ensure accurate reporting and close support. The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in payroll, multi‑state experience, and strong analytical skills, with ERP exposure (Oracle, Dynamics 365) and ADP payroll software.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or Business required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4–7 years payroll experience, ideally multi‑state and multi‑entity.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, debits/credits and month‑end close.
• Detail‑oriented with deadlines; capable of working across cycles.
• Excel skills with lookups, pivots and large data reconciliation; ERP exposure.

Responsibilities

• Administers Canadian & US payroll (weekly & biweekly) end‑to‑end.
• Reviews pay calculations and deductions for accuracy before release.
• Coordinates payroll with outside provider (ADP), including file transmissions.
• Performs monthly payroll reconciliations and investigates variances.
• Reviews time card data for completeness and policy compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of payroll legislation across jurisdictions.
