THE·TEAM is seeking a Payroll Supervisor, North America to oversee day-to-day U.S. and Canadian payroll operations. You will lead two Payroll Specialists, ensure on-time processing, and collaborate with Payroll Manager and Workday Analyst to strengthen controls and drive improvements.

The role requires 5+ years of payroll experience, strong multi-state knowledge, and hands-on leadership. This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and competitive compensation.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, wage and hour requirements, deductions, garnishments, and quarter/year-end processing
• Experience leading a payroll team or supervising staff is preferred
• Canadian payroll experience is a plus
• Workday Payroll experience strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
• Excellent written and verbal communication across Payroll, HR, Finance, and vendors

Aufgaben

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations for the U.S. and Canada, including calendars, inputs, validations, approvals, funding, off-cycle payrolls, and post-payroll activities
• Supervise and develop two Payroll Specialists with coaching and cross-training
• Perform payroll audits and reconciliations ensuring accurate gross-to-net results
• Serve as escalation point for complex payroll issues including retroactive pay and cross-border questions
• Coordinate quarter-end and year-end payroll activities and tax balancing
• Maintain payroll controls, documentation, and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Partner with Workday Analyst on system defects, configuration changes, testing, integrations, and automation
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Benefits, and vendors to resolve payroll matters
• Identify recurring issues and drive process improvements while maintaining controls
• Provide operational coverage during absences to ensure continuity
