Job summary

MORryde is seeking a Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join the Employee Services (HR) team. You will lead and mentor the Payroll & Benefits staff while ensuring accurate weekly payroll and comprehensive benefits administration for a large manufacturing workforce.

The role emphasizes analytical reporting, compliance with regulations, and customer-focused service. Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll systems are essential to success in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must maintain confidential information with integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet design.
• Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support the Payroll & Benefits Specialist team.
• Oversee timely, accurate weekly payroll for ~750 hourly and salaried employees.
• Provide labor analysis and quality data reporting to leadership.
• Collaborate with management on labor trends, adjustments, and incentive plans.
• Understand and administer all employee benefit offerings.
• Manage benefit enrollment periods for new hires and open enrollment.
• Coordinate with brokers and providers on plan selection.
• Monitor benefit plan data and utilization for performance insights.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for benefit plans.
• Support month-end/year-end audits and reconciliations related to payroll and benefits.
• Assist HR operations including reporting, data management, and special projects.
