Job summary

Simply Driven Executive Search seeks a Senior Payroll Analyst to provide expert payroll support across bi-weekly processing, reporting, and compliance, while optimizing processes and strengthening internal controls. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver accurate payroll for all team members.

This role, part of the Payroll and Benefits team, reports to the Payroll and Benefits Manager and requires Dayforce proficiency and strong multi-state payroll experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume, multi-state environment.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Experience processing payroll in an HRIS/HCM system, preferably Dayforce.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and pivot tables.
  • Demonstrated experience improving payroll processes, creating efficiencies, or implementing system enhancements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, projects, and confidential information with accuracy and professionalism.

Job description

The Senior Payroll Analyst provides exceptional support to all Team Members by ensuring payroll is processed accurately, timely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. The Senior Payroll Analyst serves as a payroll subject matter expert and is responsible for supporting all aspects of bi-weekly payroll processing, payroll reporting, payroll compliance, payroll audits, payroll-related system functionality, and payroll process improvement. This position plays a key role in identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes, strengthen internal controls, reduce manual work, enhance system functionality, and improve the overall Team Member and leader experience. The Senior Payroll Analyst will manage Dayforce-related process improvement and system enhancement projects, partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Operations, IT, and external vendors, and provide guidance on complex payroll matters. The Senior Payroll Analyst is part of the Payroll and Benefits team and reports to the Payroll and Benefits Manager.
