Job summary

United Flow Technologies is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager to lead payroll, benefits, and leave administration for a growing multi-state workforce. This onsite role in Irving, TX will guide a team of three, ensure timely payroll, accurate benefits, and compliance across states.

You will streamline processes, audit payroll, support open enrollment, and collaborate with vendors while maintaining confidentiality and providing responsive support to employees and managers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
• Hands-on experience processing multi-state payroll from start to finish.
• Experience preparing and managing certified payroll, including prevailing wage and government contract compliance.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, taxes, deductions, and compliance requirements.
• Experience administering employee benefits, including open enrollment.
• Experience with payroll audits, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
• Knowledge of FMLA and leave administration.
• Experience working with third-party payroll, benefits, and insurance vendors.
• Prior experience leading or managing a team.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll operations across multiple states, ensuring accurate pay and tax withholdings.
• Conduct payroll audits, reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies and inquiries.
• Maintain payroll records and collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
• Administer certified payroll reporting and ensure compliance with government contracts.
• Oversee employee benefits programs including enrollments, eligibility, and open enrollment.
• Resolve coverage or billing issues and support benefits-related reporting.
• Administer FMLA and other leave programs with proper documentation and communication.
• Lead and coach the payroll and benefits team and drive process improvements.
• Support audits, reporting requirements, and related projects.
