Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC in Elkin, NC is seeking a payroll and accounts payable clerk for a poultry processing plant. You will process payroll and manage AP, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities include invoicing, matching invoices to requisitions, generating purchase orders when needed, and helping purchasing resolve discrepancies. Some clerical duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Accounting (A/P) and/or Payroll.
• Knowledge of ADP e-time preferred.
• Ability to learn and utilize invoice and purchase management system (D71/EAM).
• Strong interpersonal communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, performs payroll processing and accounting A/P function for assigned location.
• Verify accuracy of payroll data by generating reports and correcting as needed.
• Process invoices by matching to requisitions and entering into system.
• Generate a POS when an invoice lacks an associated document.
• Collaborate with purchasing to resolve unmatched invoices and train on procedures.
• May supervise clerks at leadership discretion.
• Support additional duties as assigned (e.g., receptionist, mail distribution).
