Job summary

Safelite is seeking a Lead Payroll Business Analyst to partner across Payroll, HR, Finance, and IT, driving complex initiatives for accurate, auditable payroll operations. You will analyze processes, data, and controls to enable scalable solutions and continuous improvement.

You will lead requirements, dashboards, and reporting, while ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation. This role is remote with periodic travel to the Columbus, OH area as needed.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years relevant experience in payroll, business analysis, operational analytics, or a related role.
• 4-6 years experience supporting large-scale enterprise-wide processes involving compliance, audits, and multi-system integrations.
• 4–6 years experience working with high volume and multi-state payroll environments.
• Ability to manage and influence cross-functional stakeholders, aligning priorities and driving outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage intake, prioritization, and delivery of payroll initiatives aligned with enterprise priorities.
• Analyze payroll processes, data, audits, and trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional sessions with Payroll, HR, Finance, Benefits, and Technology to define requirements.
• Create and maintain BRs, SOPs, process maps, workflows, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for scalable payroll ops.
• Lead advanced data analysis translating payroll data into actionable insights for leadership.
• Analyze data trends, anomalies, and root causes to drive process improvement and risk mitigation.
• Drive dashboards, KPIs, and data storytelling to provide visibility into performance and compliance.
• Provide backup for designated payroll functions and Payroll Tax Analyst responsibilities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and SOX audits.
