Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Payroll in Puerto Rico to ensure accurate payroll processing for multiple sites. You will maintain payroll/timekeeping systems, support compliance, and partner with HR, Finance, and leadership to deliver employee support and operational excellence.

The role requires 2–3 years in payroll, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with cross-functional teams and SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in Payroll, Accounting, or a related function.
• Experience with Workday, Kronos, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations, accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel; ability to produce payroll reports and analyses.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish; able to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain payroll and timekeeping systems (Workday and Kronos) with accurate employee information.
• Review, validate, and process timecard transactions including payroll adjustments.
• Process salary adjustments and other payroll-related transactions on schedule.
• Authorize and process overtime transactions with supervisor approvals.
• Execute weekly payroll closing activities and timely payroll transmission.
• Prepare and analyze payroll reports and labor projections.
• Support month-end close activities and GL reconciliations.
• Assist with SOX compliance and internal controls; resolve payroll inquiries.
