Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll and timekeeping across multiple facilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure accurate data in Workday and Kronos, review timecards, and process adjustments and overtime in a timely manner.

The role emphasizes SOX internal controls, payroll reporting accuracy, and collaboration with HR and finance teams to support budgeting and labor projections. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Payroll or a related role.
• Experience with Workday or Kronos payroll systems and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain payroll and timekeeping systems (Workday and Kronos) with accurate employee data.
• Review, validate, and process employee timecard transactions, including corrections and adjustments.
• Process payroll adjustments for absences, PTO, and compensation changes.
• Authorize and process overtime transactions per guidelines and approvals.
• Execute weekly payroll closing activities and ensure timely payroll transmission.
• Prepare and analyze payroll reports, including labor projections and absenteeism.
• Support month-end close with payroll journal entries and GL reconciliations.
