Job summary

Swickard Auto Group in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a detail-oriented payroll accountant to join our Shared Services team. You will handle payroll accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close for multi-state operations.

As part of a high-growth dealer group, you will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing while collaborating with Payroll and HR to reflect changes in financial records and support audits.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in payroll accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience with multi-state, multi-entity payroll accounting and proper accounting treatment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile payroll-related transactions across the organization.
• Prepare, review, and post payroll journal entries (wages, salaries, commissions, bonuses, taxes, benefits).
• Reconcile payroll registers, GL accounts, payroll clearing accounts, tax liabilities, and deductions.
• Research and resolve discrepancies between payroll and accounting records.
• Support month-end close activities and payroll accruals.
• Partner with Payroll and HR to reflect changes in financial records.
• Assist with audits and development of payroll controls.
