Job summary

Tapcheck is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own money movement end-to-end—covering bank payment types, payroll card programs, and worker payouts. You’ll design reusable payments services via APIs, work closely with engineering, and align with Finance, Legal, and Compliance to move fast with governance.

You will navigate ambiguity, write clear assumptions, and drive production-ready solutions with measurable success metrics in a remote-friendly setup.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management with 5+ years in payments or financial infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of money movement across ACH, RTP, wires, and card rails.
• End-to-end ownership of live bank payment integrations with returns/exception handling.
• Experience building reusable payments services with APIs and data contracts.
• Worked with sponsor banks, processors, or card networks on integrations, commercial, and compliance.
• Wrote detailed payment system requirements: PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, field mapping.
• Scaled payment systems for volume growth and able to describe changes.
• Demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity and write down assumptions clearly.
• Proven track record with experimentation, staged rollouts, guardrails, and analytics.
• Built cross-functional alignment and managed stakeholders without authority.
• Strong API/data-model literacy; able to review architecture with engineers.
• Focused on edge cases, backward compatibility, and performance benchmarks.
• Shipped in Agile with accountability for delivery and incidents.
• Experience with AI tools to augment product output in payments.

Responsibilities

• Own money movement end to end including bank payment types and payout surfaces.
• Design payments capability as reusable services with explicit APIs and data contracts.
• Define SLAs and performance benchmarks; build observability.
• Write detailed requirements and work daily with engineering from discovery to delivery.
• Ensure alignment with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and external partners.
• Lead design for resilience, edge cases, and migration paths.
• Collaborate with sponsor banks, processors, and networks through technical and commercial channels.
• Architect and ship scalable B2B payments product with auditable metrics.
