Job summary

Washington Trust Bank in Spokane, WA seeks a Payment Service Center Manager to direct operations and support for check processing, ACH origination and receipt, and domestic/international wires. Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in payment operations or treasury operations.
• 3+ years of leadership or people management in a high production environment.
• Experience with check processing, lockbox services, ACH, wire transfers and electronic payments.
• Strong knowledge of payment operations controls and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of NACHA operating rules and wire transfer regulations.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and process improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Direct and staff three support teams to ensure efficient payments processing.
• Develop strategies to create efficiencies and improve effectiveness.
• Manage risks to limit client impact while maintaining strong controls.
• Collaborate with product, international and technology teams on payment technologies.
• Lead the implementation of new operational systems and upgrades.
• Oversee budgeting and staffing plans for ongoing operations.
• Establish compliance controls and risk management procedures.
• Supervise staff, conduct interviews, hires, training and performance reviews.
• Monitor workflow with statistical measures and ensure accurate money movement.
• Maintain security and business continuity plans for Payment Service Center.
• Provide technical support on operating systems and system upgrades.
• Maintain internal controls and coordinate annual audits.
• Coordinate vendor relationships and special projects.
