Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Plano, TX seeks a high-impact Payments Governance Operations Manager to lead governance strategy, risk oversight, and third-party relationships. You will drive modernization, build scalable workflows, and influence senior stakeholders across a complex payments ecosystem.

You will lead a cross-functional team, set strategic direction, and own issue evaluation, remediation tracking, and governance improvements, delivering programs end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in payments governance or a highly regulated environment.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs from strategy through implementation.
• Ability to evaluate risk, identify themes, and drive escalation/remediation.
• Experience using data and trend analysis to generate actionable insights.
• Ability to partner with technology teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Capacity to communicate complex topics clearly to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for payments governance across products and regions.
• Lead a multi-level team with coaching, performance management and succession planning.
• Provide subject matter expertise on payments risk and network rules.
• Evaluate issues, risk events, and control gaps; define mitigations and escalations.
• Own onboarding due diligence, monitoring, evidence standards, and remediation tracking.
• Deliver a modernization roadmap with scalable workflows and analytics.
• Lead end-to-end transformation programs, including business case development.
• Use risk indicators and portfolio trends to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize interventions.
• Partner with product, technology, risk, and compliance stakeholders across the lifecycle.
• Advise senior stakeholders with clear communication on risk posture and readiness.
• Promote ownership, integrity, and continuous improvement in governance.
