Job summary

Apex Space, Inc. in Playa Vista, CA, seeks a Senior Mission Integration Engineer focused on Payload Integration & Test to turn the spacecraft platform into the backbone of customer missions. The role is hands‑on, owning payload integration planning and SV level test campaigns.

You will lead customer engagements, plan environmental testing, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and travel to launch sites for integration and rehearsals. Strong space hardware experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• 8+ years working on complex hardware systems, space preferred.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and schedules.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of space vehicle I&T campaigns.
• Develop bus-to-payload integration procedures with customers.
• Plan SV level environmental and functional tests.
• Coordinate propulsion load operations for dynamic testing.
• Travel to launch sites for integration and rehearsals.
• Maintain system design docs and interface control documents.
