Apex Space, Inc. is seeking a Mission Integration Engineer specializing in Payload Integration & Test to join our growing team in the Los Angeles area.

This hands-on role owns the planning and execution of customer payload integration and SV-level test campaigns on our space-qualified bus platform. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, travel to launch sites, and develop procedures and documentation to ensure successful mission integration and testing for

Qualifications

• U.S. Person status for export-controlled data
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience with complex hardware systems (spacecraft preferred)
• Experience in satellite manufacturing or related industries (aerospace/defense/high-tech)
• Strong understanding of space systems integration and test
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• High attention to detail with concise technical reviews

Responsibilities

• Own planning and execution of space vehicle I&T campaigns on the cleanroom floor
• Develop bus-to-payload integration procedures with customers
• Plan and execute space vehicle environmental testing (random vibration, quasi-static load, TVAC)
• Plan and execute SV level functional testing
• Support propulsion load operations for dynamic testing and launch
• Review CLA and thermal analysis for test planning
• Travel to launch sites for integration and checkouts
• Develop and maintain customer system-level documentation
• Support requirements analysis, verification, and validation activities
• Identify and assess technical risks in system design and operation
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers for integration
• Communicate technical concepts to stakeholders
• Participate in customer meetings and design reviews
