Job summary

Apex seeks a Mission Integration Engineer specializing in Payload Integration & Test to join our growing team in the space systems division. You will turn the satellite bus into the backbone of customer missions, owning payload integration planning and SV-level test campaigns.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, develop integration procedures with customers, and travel to launch sites for checks and rehearsals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience on complex hardware systems (spacecraft preferred)
• Experience in satellite manufacturing or related industries (aerospace/defense/high-tech)
• Strong understanding of space systems integration and test
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines
• High attention to detail with concise, technical review content

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute space vehicle I&T campaigns on the cleanroom floor
• Develop bus-to-payload integration procedures with customers
• Plan and execute SV-level functional testing and environmental tests
• Support space vehicle propulsion load operations for dynamic testing
• Review CLA and thermal analyses for test planning
• Travel to launch sites for integration, checkouts, and rehearsals
• Develop system-level documentation and interface control documents
• Identify risks and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders
• Participate in customer meetings and design reviews
