Job summary

Apex is seeking a Senior Mission Integration Engineer specializing in Payload Integration & Test to join our expanding team. The Mission Integration team turns our foundational spacecraft platform into the backbone of customer missions.

It is a hands-on role owning the planning and execution of customer payload integration and SV level test campaigns. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of aerospace hardware experience, deep space systems integration and test know-how, and a track record

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• 8+ years of experience with complex hardware systems (spacecraft).
• Experience in satellite manufacturing or related aerospace/defense/high-tech industries.
• Strong understanding of space systems integration and test.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of space vehicle I&T campaigns on the cleanroom floor.
• Develop bus-to-payload integration procedures with customers.
• Plan tests including vibration, thermal, and functional SV tests.
• Oversee propulsion load operations for dynamic testing and launch.
• Review CLA and thermal analysis for test planning.
• Travel to launch sites for integration and rehearsals.
• Produce system-level documentation like interface control documents.
• Support requirements analysis, verification, and validation to meet customer needs.
• Identify technical risks and work with multi-disciplinary teams.
