Job summary

Edgewood Properties, Inc. in South Plainfield, NJ seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator-Earthwork/Pipework to support the Excavation Department. You will operate dozers, excavators, rollers and loaders, following plans and safety standards to move earth and install utilities.

Requires 3–5 years of equipment operation experience, a High school diploma or equivalent, and reliable transportation. CDL A is preferred. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, rollers and loaders.
• Ability to read plans and follow safety guidelines on job sites.
• Willingness to assist with snow removal and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate dozers, excavators, rollers, loaders and related equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles.
• Follow project instructions and safety procedures; assist with earthwork and pipework.
• Coordinate with foreman and supervisors and interpret construction plans.
• Support snow removal in communities and sites as required.
