Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation is seeking a Patient Service Representative - Float/Coverage to support check-in/check-out, registration, and scheduling across East side locations. The role requires travel flexibility, and there is occasional remote work opportunity.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent business classes/experience.
• Minimum 12-18 months' work experience in healthcare with scheduling and/or patient financial related duties.
• Strong telephone and customer service skills; data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients at check-in/out and assist with registration, insurance verification, and scheduling.
• Coordinate initial evaluations and appointments across multiple disciplines per patient needs.
• Collect co-pays, process payments, and provide financial guidance including charity care options.
• Answer inquiries via phone, email, or in person and assist with training and EMR use.
• Support compliance and education efforts, attend relevant meetings, and share knowledge with PSR team.
• Provide coverage for off-site locations as needed and travel to train new staff.

Education

Associates Degree or equivalent business classes/experience
