Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated Patient Financial Services Representative 4 to join our team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, supporting the revenue cycle and patient accounts departments in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will resolve complex billing issues, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure timely submission of clean claims with required attachments. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential in this vital role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3 years of relevant experience required.
• 3 years of experience in revenue cycle, finance, customer service or data analytics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submit all clean claims the same day they are received with attachments.
• Resolve complex issues by coordinating with team members and other departments.
• Review claims and identify corrections or resolutions within 24 hours of receipt.
• Handle high-dollar accounts and provide proactive follow-up per protocol.
• Work with payer reports and rejection files, staying aligned with payer requirements and hospital policies.
• Follow directions from management and support teammates in the supervisor's absence.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
