Job summary

Inova Health in Fairfax, VA, is seeking a Patient Financial Services Representative 4 for a full-time, on-site role Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will submit clean claims on receipt and coordinate with patients and payers to resolve accounts and support revenue cycle operations.

The position requires 3 years of revenue cycle/related experience and an associate degree or equivalent, with bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in revenue cycle, finance, customer service or data analytics.
• Associate Degree or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all clean claims are submitted the day they are received, submitted via the appropriate medium, and with all required attachments.
• Resolves complex issues by coordinating information/actions of other team members, Patient Accounts staff, other hospital departments, or at the payer level.
• Ensures claims are reviewed within 24 hours from receipt and provide guidance to others to improve efficiency.
• Handles complex accounts and performs follow-up according to protocol.
• Maintains knowledge of payer requirements, UB-92 standards, system functionality, and hospital policies.
• Takes direction from management and supports team members; performs duties in supervisor's absence.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
