Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Patient Access Representative in Minneapolis. The role greets patients, collects demographic and insurance information, and guides them through registration and scheduling.

You will verify eligibility, explain benefits, and assist with financial aid applications to support patient access services. Qualified candidates have revenue cycle and customer service experience, strong MS Office skills, and are available Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Qualifications

• 2+ years revenue cycle experience.
• 2+ years customer service experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Able to work Monday–Friday 9 AM–5:30 PM.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patient in person.
• Collects demographic and insurance information.
• Checks in and interviews patients to complete appropriate paperwork.
• Directs patient to their appointment or procedure.
• Documents any issues and resolutions in electronic medical record.
• Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers.
• Collects co-pay or deductibles.
• Assists patients with financial assistance applications.
