Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, in partnership with Allina Health, seeks a registration-focused teammate in Faribault, MN to greet patients, collect demographics and insurance details, and enter data into the electronic medical record to ensure accurate onboarding.

Role requires weekend/holiday availability on a per diem basis, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a customer-first approach in a fast-paced environment. External candidates may receive a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work every 3rd Saturday & Sunday
• Ability to work every 3rd Holiday; per diem shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patient in person
• Collects demographic and insurance information
• Checks in and interviews patient to complete appropriate paperwork
• Directs patient to their appointment or procedure
• Documents issues and resolutions in electronic medical record
• Uses resources, tools and procedures to complete accounts
• May assist in scheduling add-on appointments
• Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers
• Obtains cost information and explains information to patient
• Collects co-pay or deductibles
• Assists and counsels patient with financial assistance applications
• Provides direction for employees in completing accounts
• Assists patient with information forms and submissions
