UnitedHealth Group is hiring a Patient Access Representative Associate in Plymouth, MN. The role involves greeting patients in person, collecting demographic and insurance information, and guiding them through the registration process for visits or procedures.

Responsibilities include interviewing patients, entering data into the electronic medical record, verifying insurance eligibility, and assisting with scheduling add-on appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work the biweekly rotating schedule (Week 1: Mon and Sat 2:30pm-11:00pm; Week 2: Sun and Thu 2:30pm-11:00pm).
• Ability to work standard daytime hours, Mon-Fri for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule.
• Must be 18 years of age OR older.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patient in person.
• Collects demographic and insurance information.
• Checks in and interviews patients to complete appropriate paperwork.
• Directs patient to their appointment or procedure.
• May assist in scheduling add-on appointments.
• Documents issues and resolutions in the electronic medical record.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits information for payers.
