Job summary

Valleywise Health is seeking a Sr Patient Access Specialist to lead scheduling, pre-registration and registration functions across its Tempe services, ensuring a smooth and accurate intake for patients seeking care. Under the supervision of the Patient Access Manager – Contact Center, you will provide leadership for departmental operations and major projects, coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Requires a High School diploma or GED.
Prefer an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Must have at least five (5) years general clerical duties preferably in a healthcare environment involving data reconciliation.
Epic certification and HFMA certification preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management skills, mentoring and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead comprehensive scheduling, pre-registration and registration functions to maintain efficient patient flow.
Provide leadership in the management of departmental operations and major projects.
Coordinate with the Patient Access Manager – Contact Center to ensure quality patient intake and service.
