Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months medical office or hospital registration experience required.
• 1 year experience in medical office or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients to the hospital, collect information and deposits, complete forms, obtain signatures, and update systems.
• Greet patients professionally while supporting HIPAA and confidentiality standards and provide a positive patient experience.
• Process pre-registered accounts and gather demographic, insurance, financial and medical information for revenue cycle.
• Obtain signatures on medical, financial and compliance documents; prepare identification bands for accurate patient ID.
• Verify insurance eligibility, obtain prior authorization to avoid denials, and notify insurances as required.
• Collect payments for balances due at admission or discharge and assist with co-pays and deductibles.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure patient satisfaction and reimbursement.
