Mercy Health in Springfield Regional is seeking a Senior Patient Access Specialist for night shifts. The role supervises admitting duties for all patients, with leadership responsibilities including training, scheduling, and on-call coverage.

You will handle MRN assignments, collect insurance information, process POS payments, and perform audits to ensure accurate accounts while maintaining compassionate customer service across the organization.

• Customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to train new hires and develop staff.
• Experience scheduling staff in a high-volume department.
• Leadership responsibilities within revenue cycle operations.
• On-call responsibilities and after-hours leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Perform admitting duties for all Mercy Health patients.
• Train and schedule department staff; provide continuing education.
• Develop training materials for new hires and ongoing education for associates.
• Maintain policies and processes across the organization.
• Operate telephone switchboard and handle inbound/outbound calls.
• Monitor quality auditing and reporting systems for account correction.
• Explain and obtain signatures for consent forms and educate patients.
• Review eligibility responses and support POS and billing processes.
• Screen medical necessity using available systems.
