Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Senior Patient Access Specialist for a night shift at Springfield Regional. The role includes admitting duties for all patients, leadership responsibilities, and training duties across the revenue cycle while ensuring compliance with Mercy Health policies and regulatory requirements.

The position emphasizes customer service, mentoring staff, on-call coverage, and POS collections with attention to accurate data and audit compliance.

Responsabilités

• Admitting duties for all patients; may train, schedule and provide leadership.
• Operate telephone switchboard for inbound/outbound/inter-office calls.
• Audit and reporting to ensure accounts are corrected; support POS audits.
• Develop training materials and programs for new hires; ongoing education.
• Develop staff schedules within the patient access department.
• On-call responsibilities; after-hours support for staffing coverage.
• Collect point of service payments; conduct audits and track POS goals.
• Explain and obtain consent forms; provide patient education materials.
• Review eligibility responses; enter benefit data; support pre-registration.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software; distribute ABN and forms.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.
