Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners in Chillicothe, OH seeks a Senior Patient Access Specialist to manage admitting duties and lead training, scheduling, and on-call support across the revenue cycle. You will ensure accurate MRN assignment, verify eligibility, and provide exceptional customer service.

The role emphasizes compliance, use of ABN software and overlay tools, and collaboration with leadership to improve POS collections and overall patient experience.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years in a similar position.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements, medical terminology, or CPT/procedure codes.
• Must be inquisitive and open to AI to explore better processes.

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs and complete medical necessity or compliance checks, collect insurance information, and provide excellent customer service using an overlay tool.
• Operate the telephone switchboard for inter-office communications.
• Develop training materials and programs for new hires in the department.
• Develop staff schedules within the patient access department.
• Handle on-call responsibilities and provide after-hours support.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents.
