Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Senior Specialist Patient Access in Youngstown, OH. You will handle admitting duties for inpatients and outpatients, manage insurance information, and ensure accurate patient data entry with a focus on excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include MRN assignment, medical necessity checks, ABN processing, and collaboration with leadership to train staff. On-call duties and weekend coverage may apply as part of rotation.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year/associate degree preferred in healthcare administration or related field.
• 2-3 years experience in patient access or leadership preferred.
• CRCR certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assign MRNs accurately and complete medical necessity or compliance checks.
• Collect insurance information and verify coverage.
• Process physician orders using an overlay tool and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate telephone switchboard for incoming/outgoing/inter-office calls.
• Develop staff training materials and scheduling; provide continuing education to associates.
• Maintain on-call responsibilities and after-hours support.
• Manage point-of-service collections and audit accounts for accuracy.
• Explain general consent and ABN forms to patients and document signatures.
• Review eligibility in verification systems and input benefit data for POS/billing.
• Audit accounts and ensure timely forms completion to meet standards.
