Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Neuro/Medsurg unit at Springfield Regional Medical Center. The role focuses on patient assessments, care planning, coordination with an interdisciplinary team, and safety advocacy.

Weekend schedule: 24 hours weekly (7p–7:30a). The ideal candidate holds an RN license (compact-accepted), with BSN preferred; BLS/ACLS and RN-BC or similar certifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience (required).
• Six months of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire).
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred).
• RN-BC/CCR N/CMSRN/NIH Stroke certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document complete patient assessments and maintain current nursing care plans.
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety.
