Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or GED or higher is required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of Registration, Scheduling and Insurance Authorization experience in healthcare required.
• 5 years of customer service experience required.
• Excellent communication, detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Handle pre-arrival duties related to pre-registration and financial clearance for outpatient and inpatient services.
• Collect demographic and financial data to ensure hospital bill is paid by third party or patient.
• Verify insurance eligibility, coordinate referrals, and secure authorization.
• Serve as primary liaison for patients receiving services.
