Job summary

Emanate Health is seeking a Registration Representative to accurately process pre-admits, inpatients, ancillary patients and ER registrations in alignment with hospital policies. You will verify benefits, obtain authorizations and document patient financial responsibility while performing light duties such as pushing wheelchairs.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, basic computer/data entry skills, and knowledge of medical terminology. Weekend and holiday coverage is required at times.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School or equivalent preferred.
• Some college or technical school preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Computer skills for data entry required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Insurance verification experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Process pre-admits, in-patients, ancillary patients and ER registrations per policy.
• Verify insurance eligibility/benefits and obtain authorizations.
• Document patient financial responsibility accurately.
• Perform light to medium work, including pushing wheelchairs.
