Job summary

ECU Health seeks a patient access professional to create the first impression of our services. You will handle scheduling, registration, and insurance verification for both outpatient and inpatient services, collecting demographics and securing authorizations.

You will be the primary liaison for patients receiving professional and hospital services at ECU Health. Required are a high school diploma and strong communication, detail orientation, and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate/Bachelor preferred.
• 1–2 years of registration and/or billing experience in healthcare.
• 3–5 years of customer service experience required.
• Insurance verification experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle scheduling, registration, and insurance verification for outpatient and inpatient services.
• Collect demographic information and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Serve as primary liaison for patients and families with ECU Health.
