Job summary

Nebraska Medicine's Emergency Services in Omaha seeks a Sr Patient Access Associate for the Second Shift. You will greet patients, create and manage accounts, and guide them through scheduling, pre-registration, registration, and insurance verification.

You will also receipting payments and assist with patient way finding and escorting in a fast-paced ED. This role requires customer service experience, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience required.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Able to work in a proactive self-directed manner.
• Multi-tasking and problem solving abilities; strong written and verbal communication.
• Type 35 wpm with 95% accuracy.
• BLS certification within six months of hire from an AHA-endorsed program.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients professionally and ensure accurate account creation to optimize cash flow.
• Handle scheduling, pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, receipting of payments, and patient way finding/escorting.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and provide 24/7 coverage as needed across departments.
