Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of clerical experience in medical office required.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to handle insurance details.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and registers patients for the outpatient clinic.
• Verifies eligibility for patients and ensures all pre-authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications are obtained as necessary by working closely with the physician offices, Utilization Review and Business Office Departments.
• Perform other job-related duties as directed by the Supervisor.
